Filter balls made of polyethylene for the use in sand filter systems. They have a high dirt absorption capacity and can catch debris of up to 3µ in their fibres. They also have a long life, help to save energy due to fewer backwashing processes, are non-toxic and easy to dispose of. They can, however, be reused after being washed out.
Handling them is child's play - just use the appropriate amount of filter balls instead of sand. 700 grams of filter balls replace 25 kg of filter sand.
