Collector tank for solar liquid for lost, groundwater-polluting solar liquids in case of system overpressure. The solar collector tank is made of plastic with an integrated drain tap. It is connected to the diaphragm safety valve or to the safety group of the solar pump assembly via a pipe. A basic volume of 1 up to 1.5 litres of liquid is always contained in the collector tank to avoid overheating of the collector tank in case of a sudden escape of solar liquid from the solar thermal system.
