The unit is designed for the connection of an electric rod heater with an output of maximum 3 kW and can be used for buffer and domestic-water storage tanks. Irrespective of the PV system inverter used, the control modulates the output of the rod heater. Temperature sensors limit the maximum values in the storage tank.
