Durgo Air admittance valves

The Durgo air admittance valve reliably prevents unpleasant odours in kitchen, bathroom or toilet, which only arise whenever a siphon is sucked empty by negative pressure in the wastewater pipe and sewer odour freely flows out through the siphon. If the air admittance valve is installed in the discharge pipe, its diaphragm opens as soon as there is a vacuum. This lets air into the system, which equalises the pressure and stops the water from being sucked out of the water traps. The valve is absolutely tight in the opposite direction. The air admittance valve is to be fitted vertically onto the wastewater pipe. It can be installed in an intermediate ceiling, in the attic, below the basin or in a ventilated wall-panel element.
The Durgo air admittance valve is maintenance-free, its micropore diaphragm is resistant against all gases existing in the sewer. Roof penetrations and stack effects are a thing of the past with this ventilation.
