Magnesium anodes

Sacrificial quality anodes made of high-grade magnesium with a thin steel core. Depending on the water quality and water temperature in the storage tank, the life time of such a protective anode amounts to two up to ten years. During maintenance work, you should loosen the fastening screw and pull out the anode rod. We recommend, you do the first maintenance after two years and then every year. When there is less than 1/3 left from the original diameter, the magnesium anode should be replaced at the latest.
