PPSU press fittings for multi-layer pipes
SilverTec® PPSU press fittings are 100% lead-free because their guide rings are not made of brass but made of the high-performance plastic polyphenylene sulphone (PPSU).
The system convinces due to a quick installation with maximum safety.
Two O-rings and three inspection windows in the stainless steel sleeves of the fittings ensure exact insertion depth of a multi-layer pipe, e.g. by SilverTec® but also by other manufacturers. This is how a permanent and tight joint is created.
Due to the multi-contour of the fittings, the pressing with TH pressing jaws and with U-profile pressing jaws is possible in the range of 16 to 32 mm. A stable plastic ring allows for a secure pressing even in confined positions.
SilverTec® PPSU press fittings have other advantages besides being lead-free:
- unpressed pipe connections can be located during the pressure test due to forced leakage of the system,
- the unobstructed passage results in only minor pressure losses and virtually no flow noises
- all materials are suitable for the use with drinking water. They comply with the UBA positive list and the EN ISO 21003, and they certainly have a DVGW certificate.
