Sealing element in the shape of a lip collar to insert into the upper socket chamber. When the pipe is pushed in, the sealing lips press both to the inside of the developed sealing chamber as well as to the outside wall of the inserted pipe. The collar of the sealing element lies level on the socket edge and, thus, secures the seat when the other pipe is pushed in.
When the pressure inside the pipe rises, the sealing lips are pressed to the pipe wall even more firmly and, thereby, increase the tightness of the connection automatically.
