Depending on the application, it can be installed in immersion sleeves, protective coils or directly on pipework. The PT100 element provides a passive signal to controllers or building management systems, making deviations easier to detect at an early stage. A moisture‑tight crimp protects the sensing element against dust and humidity so the measurement remains stable even under harsh conditions. For liquid applications, the sensor must be fitted in an immersion sleeve so that maintenance is possible without releasing the medium.
