The thermostatic mixing valve provides control of the water temperature in centralised hot water supply units or decentralised at the point-of-use. It can also be used as return temperature limiter in heating systems or in underfloor heatings. The mixing valve is fitted with scald protection. This means, the hot water inlet is automatically cut off if the cold supply fails. Where a system includes a hot water circulation, a KB191-¾" return flow retarder unit must be fitted to prevent cold water from backfeeding and cooling the mixed water at the outlets.
