Mineral fibre pipe sections are made of rock wool and suitable for the thermal insulation of domestic hot water and heat distribution systems. They also serve as protection.

The energy saving regulations (EnEV) specifies detailed minimum requirements how thick the insulation of pipes and fittings has to be.

In order to achieve a 100% insulation as per EnEV, all hot-water pipes have to be sheathed with an insulation thickness which at least equals the internal diameter of the pipe.

The pipe sections are slit on one side for easy and fast installation. They are additionally equipped with a tearproof aluminium jacketing and a quick adhesive closure. Due to the materials used, the pipe sections are non-flammable.

According to legal requirements as per EnEV, the pipe sections with 100% insulation may be used in the following areas:

Heating:
• in unheated rooms and cellars
• pipes layed underfloor, also radiator connection pipes in outer walls
• in parts of buildings between unheated and heated rooms
• in shafts and ducts
• for distribution pipes to supply several parties

Sanitary:
• for the insulation of hot-water pipes
