Megafill is a one-way cartridge for heating water preparation for first or refilling purposes and fully complies with the VDI 2035 recommendations.
Corrosion and limescale forming has only been an issue in
domestic hot water installations. Most people are of the opinion that the
amount of water circulating in heating systems remains constant and thus does not cause any damage.
However, the failures of heating systems proof the opposite. The examples range from limescale in heat exchangers to corrosion and pitting in lines up to mixing valves and thermostatic valves, which fail due to the deposited and limescale layers.
Some manufacturers of boilers and heating devices stipulate certain qualities of the filling and supplementary water in their operating and installation instructions.

Note:
If aluminium materials are installed in the heating system, the pH value should not exceed 8.5.
For all other materials, a pH value between 8.2 and 9.5 is fine according to VDI 2035.
