The physiologically safe magnesium is the basest metal in the electro-chemical series and, thus, ideal as a so-called sacrificial anode. A magnesium anode protects hot-water storage tanks against corrosion and improves the quality of the drinking water. The steel-made wall of the storage tank and the magnesium anode create a galvanic element.
In enamelled steel tanks the current flows from the magnesium anode to the defects of the tank. Whereas the magnesium is gradually disintegrated through the current discharge and through intrinsic corrosion, the defects are subject to a reduced potential. This prevents the steel from corroding.

Bonjour, Vos anodes sont du bon diamètre mais trop longues, pouvons nous les découper à la longueur souhaité. Merci de votre réponse

Vous pouvez le découper à la longueur souhaitée. Merci de consulter auparavant l´article Magnesium anode Ø 26 x 700 mm 1" screw-in thread, il est un peu plus court.
