14 interested specialist craftsmen from the Netherlands visited the OEG at the Lienen production site from Friday to Saturday.

On Friday, the group started in the early afternoon with a tour of the tank production. All important and interesting production steps were explained live: from the automated winding of the stainless steel corrugated pipe and the heat exchangers, through the plasma cutter and welding stations, to the foaming of the high-quality insulation.

Then the solar and storage seminar started. Here, the focus was primarily on the 4flex + ® heatpipe tube and hygiene tanks. In addition to tips and tricks for installation on site, the most important quality features came up: With a 20-year warranty on the solar tubes and a 10-year warranty on the OEG storage, the specialist tradesman stands out from the competition in customer talks.

All participants made intensive discussions and after the subsequent dinner they exchanged experiences late into the night.

Experts from commerce and trade can obtain information about oil heating even easier in the future. The Hamburg Institute for Heat and Oil Technology (IWO) offers a new service for this purpose: the IWO Reader. The app for mobile devices with the operating systems Android (Google) and iOS (Apple) - other operating systems (such as Windows mobile) are currently not supported - provides helpful information free of charge. These include, for example, a technical guide to troubleshooting and brochures on the topics heating oil and heating oil tank as well as current studies by the IWO.

The recently published new edition of the textbook "Technische Regeln Ölanlagen" (TRÖl 2.0) can also be read as an eBook with the IWO Reader. Anyone who has bought TRÖl 2.0 as an eBook can download it and unlock it on three mobile devices by purchasing a book code.

Downloading the app is easy: Just open the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store on the appropriate mobile device, type "IWO Reader" in the search and start the installation. Afterwards users can select and download the desired information material and brochures.

The Institute for Heat and Oil Technology (IWO) published in March a new, completely revised edition of the technical book "Technische Regeln Ölanlagen" (TRÖl). The standard work provides a compilation of the regulations and framework conditions for the installation of oil heating systems and provides all the information needed for the planning, construction, operation, maintenance and filling of an oil plant. Also, the new TRwS 791 "fuel oil consumer equipment" Part 1 is completely reprinted. The 450-page "TRÖl 2.0" is available directly at www.troel.de. Brand new: The textbook can also be ordered as an eBook for mobile devices.

Developed with the active participation of all industries, institutions, manufacturers and associations operating around the oil heating, the "TRÖl 2.0" describe the requirements for planning and installation of an oil system - from the filler neck to the exhaust gas outlet. This makes the work indispensable for heating craftsmen, chimney sweeps, tank specialists, planners and vocational school teachers. On the basis of the regulations, an oil system consisting of heating oil tank, oil line, oil device and exhaust system can be professionally installed. Easy to understand graphics and practical examples facilitate the work. Differences in individual federal states are shown in the overview. The appendix also contains background information and complete legal texts. A detailed index helps to look up and ensures quick access.
