The motor-actuated flue damper is suitable for all oil- and gas-fired appliances with or without forced draught, for solid-fuel heating appliances with minimal opening, for negative pressure flue systems and atmospheric gas-fired appliances as floor-standing boilers and wall-mounted units. It can also be used in biomass boilers, tiled ovens, fireplaces or combustion air ducts for fireplaces.

It opens before the burner starts or optimises the combustion of the solid fuel in combination with the stove regulator. During the times when the combustion heating appliance is switched off, it seals off the flue path and prevents the heated room air from escaping via the chimney and cooling the appliance as it passes.
The motorised version can be controlled in different ways: manual control via a power switch, temperature-dependent control via a thermostat installed upstream or fully automatically via the stove regulator.

Question:

Thanks for this information. Can it be combined with the stove control compact 150 (ref )?

Answer OEG:

No, this is not possible.
The Compact stove control unit is installed on the supply air side, e.g. in a wood-burning stove. The combustion process is then optimised by controlling the supply air. When the fireplace is not burning, the supply air flap is closed.
The stove control has no output or similar to be able to control a motorised flue gas damper.

Question:

Do you have a compatible control unit based on temperature of the flue gas? To open the damper when fire is on and close it when fire is out and temperature drops?

Answer OEG:

When the fireplace is not in use, the flue gas damper closes the flue gas path, preventing heated room air from escaping and the fireplace from cooling down. The motorised version can be controlled in different variations, e.g. manual control via a mains switch, temperature-dependent control via an upstream thermostat or fully automatic via a stove control system.
