The KFR valve can be recognised from the outside by its test screw. It is responsible for the functioning of the non-return check valve. Due to the particularly streamlined design, few pressure losses and noises are caused. The valve is installed at the house connection of the drinking water installation upstream behind the water meter. An arrow on the valve indicates the correct installation method. It serves as a shut-off for the drinking water pipe and prevents the water from the house network from flowing back into the supply net.
The valve has a small drain tap for emptying the pipeline arranged in flow direction.
The bonnet has a grease chamber without dead zone in the non-rising stem. There is no room for stagnation water, germs or limestone, and is, therefore, considered legionella-safe.
The handwheel is made of tough, very hard and rigid plastic.
