KFR valves with non-rising stem with draining

"KFR" is the most colloquially used abbreviation in the sanitary sector. The abbreviation stands for combined free-flow valve with non-return check valve or for combination of free-flow valve and non-return check valve.

KFR valves can be distinguished from the outside by the test screw, which checks the functioning of the non-return check valve. The particularly streamlined design prevents pressure losses and noises. The valves are mainly installed at the domestic water supply connection of the drinking-water installation in the direction of the flow downstream of the water meter.

The advantage of a non-rising stem is that it does not rotate upwards out of the valve in case of space problems. An arrow on the valve indicates the correct way of installation . They serve as shut-off for the drinking-water pipes and prevent the backflow of the water from the house network into the water supply net.
