The KFR valve can be distinguished from the outside by its test screw, which is responsible for the functioning of the non-return check valve. The particularly streamlined design prevents pressure losses and noises. The valve is installed after the meter at the domestic water connection of the drinking-water installation in the direction of the flow. An arrow on the valve indicates the correct installation. It serves as a shut-off for the drinking-water pipe and prevents the backflow of the water from the house network into the water supply net.
The valve additionally has a small drain tap, which is arranged in the direction of the flow and which is responsible for emptying the pipeline. Due to the press, plug and solder connection, it is usable for all press systems and contours.
The bonnet has a non-rising stem. The handwheel is made of tough, very hard and rigid plastic.
