All product informationMagnesium chain anode for corrosion protection in hot-water storage tank. The chain anode is ideal for retrofitting and anode replacement in tanks with low ceiling height.
The individual chain links are cast in spacings of 32 mm on a flexible steel wire strand with a diameter of 3 mm. The number is arbitrary and based on the surface or the height of the storage tank to be protected. If required, the length can be shortened.
The physiologically harmless magnesium is the least noble of the common metals in the electrochemical series and is therefore ideally suited as a so-called sacrificial anode.
The steel container wall of the storage tank and the magnesium anode form a galvanic cell.
In enamelled steel tanks, the current flows from the magnesium anode to any defects in the container. As the magnesium gradually dissolves due to the release of current and its own corrosion, a reduction in potential occurs at the defective spots, which prevents the steel from corroding.

Das oberste Glied mit geraden Kanten hat einen Durchmesser von 26 mm, die weiteren, darunter haben einen Durchmesser von 22mm.
so wie sie da steht im Webshop hat sie das Gewinde M8 x 30. aber es gibt Montageseätze. diese gibt es dann auch in entsprechenden Größen. Assembly kit M8 x 30 for insulated installation of magnesium anodes Diese Nummer hat den anschluss 1". Für den Montagesatz in 3/4" können nur Anoden verwendet werden, die maximal 22 mm im durchmesser sind, deswegen führe ich die Nummer jetzt nicht mit auf.
