Fixing plugs for insulation panels with steel nails for mounting insulation panels to concrete, aerated concrete, solid brick, hollow brick or silicate in exterior applications. The plug sleeves made of polypropylene are expanded by hammering in the nail. It presses the sleeves against the walls of the borehole, seals the thermal insulation layer and, thus, creates a permanently strong hold. The plastic head protects the nail against corrosion.
